If you aren’t familiar with Inspirato , allow us to introduce you. Inspirato is a membership-based luxury vacation club. No, not like the timeshares of the olden days. This doesn’t require you to sit in on conferences or stay at hotels with heavy tourist traffic in odd areas. What Inspirato offers are luxury homes perfect for family and friends getaways, in places that are likely on your bucket list, hotel rooms are top tier properties at over 150 destinations around the world, and a concierge service that is second to none. All that access comes at a cost but in our opinion, if you are a frequent traveler with a lean toward luxury, it’s worth it.
We have been members of Inspirato since shortly after it began in 2011 and have stayed at Inspirato-run homes and hotels all over the world. (Important to note this is not sponsored by Inspirato- though we’d love to collab! Inspirato, call us! – we just love the club). The club offers several levels of service and your dues and feed depend on what level you join. In addition to accommodations, they also offer bespoke experiences (like cruising to Antarctica!) and your dedicated team is just about always available to assist with everything from booking trips to grocery shopping. So what, exactly do we love about it?
- The accommodations are always top notch. We’re talking homes that sleep 15 in Cabo , hotel rooms overlooking the Arno River in Florence, and beautiful hotels in The Bahamas. The properties are scouted and vetted before being added to the portfolio and are always luxurious.
- The customer service is incredible. Need to switch dates? Someone will help you. Curious if a specific house is worth the price? They’ll shoot you straight. Have a weird experience at an Inspirato property? They’ll make it right. I think in the 10 years we’ve been members we’ve only had 2 less than ideal experiences and when brought to our teams attention, we were reimbursed for our stay.
- The homes are always fully stocked with creature comforts. This means you’ll arrive and have all you need to enjoy your stay. Most of the homes are equipped with full kitchens – think sharp knives, blenders than work well, new and nice pots and pans, etc. Most homes will have outdoor kitchen set ups or at the very least a grill. If you need a pack and play or high chair, just ask your team and it’ll be waiting. Homes with pools or near beaches often have floats, beach chairs, and sand toys ready and waiting.
- You don’t have to grocery shop right when you arrive. When you book a home through Inspirato, you get one complimentary trip to the grocery store included. (not free groceries, but no fee to do your shopping. subsequent shopping trips may cost a small fee). A week or two prior to your stay, you’ll submit your grocery list and when you arrive, it’ll all be put away and ready to use.
- The concierge service is unparalleled. Inspirato homes come with an on-site concierge who can help with everything form arranging excursions and hiring in-home chefs to running and errand or recommending and booking restaurants. They know the local baby-sitters and can give you tips on exploring local areas. Need to plan a little birthday celebration like we did in Cabo? Our concierge there went out of her way to get a cake make, a piñata filled, and the house decorated when we came home from dinner. Often times, they have welcome snacks and drinks waiting when you arrive and will always help arrange housekeeping services on the days and times you prefer.
- The hotel rooms are stunning. The team at Inspirato have already figured out which rooms at the hotels have the best views and have nailed down the best hotels in any given place. Those are the rooms they are booking and it shows. You’ll book knowing you’re going to get an excellent hotel room.
