Barn on the Pond isn’t a hotel or a Bed & Breakfast.
In fact, there’s no one waiting at a front desk to check you in. (There’s also no front desk.)
You won’t find a concierge eager to help you schedule your day or a bell-hop lingering about, waiting to carry your luggage to your room.
The only complimentary breakfast available is the one you make yourself. And, if you don’t make the bed in the morning, it will remain unmade all day.

At Barn on the Pond, there is no coddling hotel treatment — and that, my friends, is why we love it. It’s a getaway, a beautiful and comfortable getaway – where the place is all yours. It’s a private retreat where you unplug from technology and only get up, dressed and moving when you want to.
Pile your friends or family into a car and drive the quick 2 hours Upstate, near Woodstock, NY. Suddenly, everything is different and the city feels worlds away. The country air smells sweet, and there’s plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy each other. Its the kind of peace and quite only the country can offer.
At night, when you’re circled around the fire pit roasting marshmallows for s’mores, you actually talk to one another, find out how the people in your life are doing, and laugh at each other – not some viral video on YouTube.
And while you savor that melty-chocolatey-gooey treat, you notice the stars. There are no tall buildings or bright lights to make them fade into the night. At Barn on the Pond, there’s just the stars, the quiet, and the people you love. No butlers, no bellhops, and no busy. Just perfection dressed up like a big red barn.
