Do you like food? wine? shopping? beer gardens? Let’s be friends.

If you answered with a resounding ‘yes’ to the questions above hustle over to the Flatrion District and feast your eyes on Eataly. No, we’re not spelling the name of the boot-shaped country incorrectly. Eataly is the gourmet Italian food market that is the genius project of Chef Mario Batali. You can shop for any Italian item under the sun here. There’s a never-ending selection of regional olive oils, more types of dried pasta than you knew existed, and the best Italian desserts and gelatos. You can also pick up freshly cut meats, homemade pastas (made before your eyes), and all your favorite seafood and ray bar items. If that’s not good enough, you can just pop in to have eat some pasta and drink Chianti.

There are 9 eateries inside Eataly, including lots of standing-only high tops and plenty of wine, cheese, and charcuterie spots. To top it all off – literally – there’s a beer garden, Birreria, on the roof top. Open year round, the restaurant/brewery is one of the best places to grab drinks in the open-air and enjoy the city’s skyline.
