Set on its own private island in Turks & Caicos, COMO Parrot Cay is easily one of the best luxury hotels in the Caribbean. You know your headed somewhere special the moment you’re whisked away from the dock in Providenciales on the resort’s private boat. A few minutes later, you approach the postcard-perfect island of Parrot Cay, where the staff is smiling and waving to greet you. A breezy golf cart ride through the palm trese and you’ve arrived in paradise…
Overall hotel vibe: The definition of barefoot luxury – with two stunning beachfront pools separated by a chic beach bar. The water is so blue and the sand is so white that it almost hurts your eyes. We think that Turks & Caicos, especially Parrot Cay, has the most beautiful water in the Caribbean! From you room, hop on a bike or call a golf cart to visit the serene spa, lounge pool side, or dine at their superb open-air restaurant, Lotus.
Rooms: All with a white-washed, breezy island feel, COMO Parrot Cay offers standard guest rooms, beachfront villas, and private homes (owned by celebrities like Christie Brinkley and Keith Richards) that you can rent. The beachfront villas are jaw-dropping, especially the ones recently renovated.
Food: Other than just the sheer beauty of the island and beach/pool set-up at COMO Parrot Cay, we were most blown away by the food. We ate Lotus everyday and every meal was phenomenal. They change up the menu often, especially at dinner (ex: pick your own fish with the chef on Fridays), and the menu really reflects the diverse culinary influences found in the Caribbean.
Spa: COMO Shambhala Spa is tranquil oasis that offerings Asian-inspired treatments set amid the vibrant tropical wetlands on the island. We totally zen-ed out with their restorative deep tissue message, followed by special teas and treats, and a dip in their garden jacuzzi.
Experience: It’s always great to get out on the water! We highly recommend COMO Parrot Cay’s boating experience, where you snorkel at a great offshore reef, dive for conch shells, and then enjoy sushi, snacks, and champagne back onboard. The boat is brand new – and it’s very swank!
