Whether you need a cooking lesson, are sick of ordering in, or just looking for something different to do on a Wednesday night, a cooking class at Haven’s Kitchen is a good way to go. When you walk into the front café, the smell of something delicious hits you first. Is if the coffee? Is it those beautiful blueberry muffins? Or is it the cute little candles they’re selling? Don’t know, but you’ll want it all.

From the café, you can peer into the huge chef’s kitchen in the back. That’s where the cooking classes are held. We went for a baking class and made bars, brownies, and blondies – not a terrible day. It was fun time and truly quite informative. But baking is just one of the skills they teach. They’ll show you how to do just about anything – make a simple salad, grill out, prepare tapas, and even make Chinese-style dumplings. They even have a class on food styling – so all you Instagrammers can create a masterpiece and capture some gorgeous pics. PS parents: they also have great classes for the kiddos. Check out their class schedule here.
