Mirrors don’t lie. They show us the absolute truth, which can sometimes be scary, especially after a long flight or some time on the road. When we kept seeing dry, tired skin looking back at us every time we got home after a long week, we knew it was time to take some ACTION!
Let’s face it: daily life takes its toll on our skin. Dirt & grim, dehydration, and constant travel, all effect the way we look and feel. While getting a facial has traditionally felt like a rare luxury, Heyday is trying to change that with customized, accessible, and affordable facials. Taking care of our faces should be more a part of our routine, and Heyday is helping New Yorkers get there with their chic, modern and super-welcoming outposts around town (Nomad, Upper East Side, & TriBeCa).
We ventured into their TriBeCa spot and were immediately taken by the bright and airy space, and smiling faces that greeted us. We opted for a 50 minute facial (you can also choose 30min or 75min too, depending on how much time you have) and settled in for a some much-needed pampering.
Our esthetician walked us through, step by step, what she was doing and applying the to skin. Using products from a variety of top-notch clean, natural brands, the goal is to cleanse and moisturize the skin without harsh chemicals. From an initial cleanser and exfoliation, to hot towels before extractions and a few soothing serums, Natalie explained everything and gave us plenty of tips on how to keep up the routine at home. Even better (since we can barely remember what we had for breakfast each day), she sent us a follow-up email with customized notes about our skin and recommended care.
After those relaxing 50-minutes, what once was dehydrated, tired looking skin was now glowing, rejuvenated and happy. Heyday may not be able to cure jetlag outright, but they sure cure the visible effects it has on our faces – amen to that!

Thank you to Heyday for sponsoring this post and for treating us to an amazing facial.
