Big Bend National Park is one of the largest and most remote national parks in the lower 48 United States. Even the drive in takes your breath away; suddenly you’re surrounded by endless stretches of spectacular landscape consisting of majestic mountains, desert plants, and indigenous animals. The park, which covers more then 800,000 acres, encompasses the largest protected area of the Chihuahuan Desert – the largest desert in North America.
