On a boring street way out in Brooklyn lies one of the most creative and interesting pizza joints in New York City. Everybody raves about Roberta’s and with good reason. We think it’s insane and even named it our favorite pizza spot in the City. As soon as you walk in, you know it’s gonna be good. The massive wood-fired oven is up front, allowing you to watch the cooks sling their famous pies into the oven while you wait.
The menu has several different offerings of charcuterie and cheeses, salads, pastas, veggies, and even a cheeseburger at lunch. Skip all that. Once you’ve trekked out to this Bushwick hotspot, do yourself a favor and go straight for the good stuff – the pizza.
The place is casual and laid-back with long family-style picnic tables down the center and a cozy bar in back. Don’t stop there, though, keep going around the back to the patio and you’ll see how much space Roberta’s really has. The outdoor area, Tiki Bar included, is ideal for enjoying a cold beer while you wait for your pie. Beyoncé has eaten here and so have the Clintons. Everyone in life that’s on a quest for delicious pizza has Roberta’s high on their target map.
