Rosewood Little Dix Bay is a legendary property in the British Virgins Islands, set on one of the most spectacular shorelines in the Caribbean. It’s a magical place that lures guests back year after year – some having visited the property for 30+ years now. Nobody does it better that Rosewood, so when you combine one of the most idyllic beach settings in the world with 5-star accommodations, food & beverage, and service, then you have recipe for something truly special.
We loved: The beach! As the Rockefeller’s do – back in the day, they scoped out every twist and turn in the Caribbean, purchasing only the most magnificent pieces of land. Laurance Rockefeller originally owned Little Dix Bay and it’s not hard to see why. The pristine, crescent-shaped half mile beach consists of soft white sand, cerulean water, and sea turtles galore.
The accommodations at Rosewood Little Dix Bay each have their own private beach palapa setup with lounge beds and ‘ring for service’ button. The palapas are tucked into the foliage so they feel private and secluded.
Activities abound on the Little Dix Bay beach and throughout the property. If you’ve had your fill of kayaking or Hobie-Cat sailing, then hop on one of Rosewood’s colorful Mokes to explore Virgin Gorda or take a stroll through the hotel’s organic garden.
The recently renovated rooms boast a spacious patio area, luxury in-room bedding and amenities, and or course, an outdoor shower. Rosewood always go over the top for kids, and this property is no different. Our son Jack walked up to our outdoor patio to find a entire pirate’s play tent set up, complete with activity sheets, crayons, and his very own backpack with beach toys. Happy kids equal happy parents – always.
Our expectations for food and service were pretty high, and we can safely say – they were surpassed! Every meal was outstanding. We particularly loved breakfasts at the Pavilion and dinner at the Reef House.
We can’t say enough about our stay at Rosewood Little Dix Bay – it’s absolutely one of the best properties in the Caribbean and caters exquisitely to everyone from romantic honeymooners to families with kids.
