Skinopi Lodge is a little slice of Heaven in Milos, Greece. Set on a quiet coastline away from busy towns and roads, the lodge’s only hint of action involves watching the tangerine sun melt into the glimmering blue Aegean each evening – and the occasional catamaran floating by. For nature-lovers and view-lovers, Skinopi is paradise.
Nausika, the owner of Skinopi Lodge, has an effortlessly chic style that’s reflected in each of the lodge’s 3 villas. Leonardo da Vinci once said ‘simplicity is the ultimate sophistication’ and with a view as breathtaking as Skinopi’s, Nausika was clever to embrace that mantre and let Mother Nature steal the show.
All of the villas boast a clean, crisp white-palate interior with floor-to-ceiling windows along the back wall that slide all the way open to let the outdoors in. Each villa boasts a spacious bedroom and bathroom area, entry courtyard, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen, and back patio seating to soak in the epic view.
From the villas, it’s a short drive to major towns like Plaka or Adamas and great beaches like Sarakiniko or Firopotamos. Skinopi also offers private boat excursion to popular spots around the islands, including Kleftiko. Skinopi’s charm comes from being a little off-the-beaten-path, but that also means the bumpy gravel roads are best suited for a 4×4 rental car (which should be booked well in advance during high season).
Skinopi is one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed, and we highly recommend booking one of Nausika’s three gorgeous villas on a trip to Milos!
