The Fearrington House Inn is nestled in the heart of Fearrington Village. It’s the brainchild of owner R.B. Fitch, who started building the village in 1974.
Built on a former working dairy farm, the village center includes the high-end boutique hotel, a book store, several restaurants, and spa. The village is also home to over 1,200 families who’ve chosen this quaint town, just 30 mints from Raleigh and Chapel Hill, as their perfect place to live.
A Relais & Chateaux property, the acclaimed Fearrington House Inn has 32 guest rooms, some of which are dog friendly. The rooms are beautifully decorated to reflect the pastoral setting outside, with luxe Frette linens lining the beds and Molton Brown amenities in the bathrooms.
The grounds of the inn are meticulously manicured and feature a gorgeous flower garden, a favorite for birds looking for a place to bathe and monarch butterflies passing through.
A glass of wine in the adirondack chairs lining the herb garden is an evening well spent.
Of course no trip to Fearrington is complete without stopping by to say hello to the farm animals. Belted Galloway Cows and similarly black-and-white striped Tennessee Fainting Goats live the good life, grazing in the pastures. Nearby, a dozen or so chickens cluck around in the chic white hen house. The only sourced from the animal by the kitchen are the eggs; these animals are at Fearrington simply to enjoy their lives!
