Hidden beneath a coffee and beer bar is a speakeasy you’d never expect to find. Step into Under Tow and you’ll forget you’re in the land-locked state of Arizona. The tiki bar themed subterranean bar is incredibly cool and committed to the tiki theme. Island music trickles from the speakers, the bar menu is all tropical drinks (think rum, coconut, and floral flavors), and an exotic view is played on screens meant to look like the view from the portal-style faux windows. It’s weird and it’s cool and best of all, it’s totally unexpected. Reservations are required and once you’re seated, you have 70 minutes to enjoy your cocktails and pay the check. It’s small- only around 25 seats – so you’ve gotta share the space and the tiki love!
