When I moved to Minnesota is 2018, I anticipated the cooler temps, I planned for the long winter, and I assumed we’d have to schedule warm weather vacations well in advance in the winter, as I figured everyone else would be trying to flee the cold as well. It stands to reason that, with so many people traveling to tropical destinations each winter, Minneapolis would need a good amount of swimwear shops, and there are plenty around town. They consistently carry luxury brands like Shan and Omika right in their 50th and France location but have something for every budget as well. Brought your whole paycheck in for an entirely new vacation wardrobe? Great! Looking for a new suit but don’t want to spend more than $100? NaniNalu has you covered!
Better than the array of brands carried in store is the customer service. Their expert fitters will help you find the perfect suit for your body. My fitter, Cassie, spent two hours with me, learning what colors and prints I preferred, bringing me a variety of fits of bikinis and one pieces and helping me learn what worked best for me, then showing me dozens of dresses and coverups to go with the suits I chose. Without Cassie, it would have been a stressful shopping experience and I would not have chosen many of the suits she pulled for me, that I ended up loving!
Shopping at NaniNalu truly eliminates the stress (that I feel, at least!) of swimsuit shopping. The women there are so knowledgable and helpful, and they make it fun! If you’re local to Minneapolis, I highly recommend you take advantage of your proximity and get the in-store experience. No worries if you live out of state, though! They offer a high curated ‘Suitcase’ shopping experience where you fill out an extensive questionairre and an expert fitter puts together a big box of goodies for you. It arrives to your house and you can try everything on in the comfort of your own home. Send back what doesn’t work and you only have to pay for what you keep! We used this service during the early days of COVID and it was a wonderful experience! In store or virtually – NaniNalu will not disappoint and it’s the only place we want to shop for vacation from here on out!
