Nestled right in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis, Giulia resides within the Emery Hotel. It’s a breathe of fresh air – literally. Walking into the hotel lobby, you might as well be walking through a jungle; dozens of plants large and small flank the entrance to Giulia and created the most relaxed, lovely ambiance.
Partnering with the local acclaimed Chef Steven Brown, they created a menu focused on Northern Italian cuisine. Tried and true favorites like chicken parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs, and classic carbonara make it difficult to choose what you’ll oder, because each is truly delicious.
Wood fired pizzas provide a little lighter fair and pair perfectly with one of Giulia’s signature drinks. In non-COVID times, they offer table side fresh mozzarella pulling, wherein the server handles the molten cheese with grace, pulling it to perfection and serving it with delicious accoutrements.
The restaurant is the perfect marriage of community, comfort and cocktails, featuring a bar-centric flexible space for both intimate and sociable dining and drinking. With staggeringly tall ceilings and huge marble columns, you almost feel as if you’re in a library. But you won’t find hushed voices here – instead the chatter of happy meetings envelops you while fellow diners ooh and ahh over each dish delivered to their table.
Right now, since restaurants are closed for in-person dining, Giulia is offering take-out. You can order from them online Monday-Saturday from 5-9pm.
