Oh baby, is Nashville hot right now.
From the honky-tonks on Broadway to the live music bars on Music Row, we can’t get enough of this town. In the past few years, Nashville has also put itself on the map for its food scene, attracting some of the best chefs and restraunteurs in the country. There are inventive farm-to-table restaurants, dive-y BBQ joints and everything in between. In the same spirit as Austin and New Orleans, Nashville is a city full of character, which attracts some of the most talented artists and musicians around. Going beyond just country music, every place you walk into has some insanely talented musician playing live music to a fun-loving crowd.
Two hotels in Nashville that we love are the Hutton Hotel and the Omni Nashville. The Hutton is a cool and stylish boutique hotel that’s an easy two-minute cab ride from downtown. The Omni is a much larger hotel, which is attached to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the mammoth new conference center in the heart of downtown. Because of its size, the Omni offers the most amenities, including an excellent spa and pretty swanky rooftop pool.
For breakfast around town, you must check out the famous Pancake Panty or try the mouthwatering biscuits at Loveless Café. When you’re visiting the South, you can’t miss the fried chicken, so always plan a stop to Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack. For a fun evening out, the Bluebird Café has long been a special venue in the city, where almost all up-and-coming artists have stopped through on their journey to the top. Lastly, a weekend in Nashville should always include an evening at The Stage on Broadway, drinking plenty of Shiner Bock and singing along to Dixieland Delight or the crowd favorite, Rocky Top Tennessee.
