Greece is known for its gorgeous islands dotted with stunning beaches. Rhodes, Greece, while visited more for history than white sands, is no different. There are upwards of 40 beaches on the small Greek island but a few stand out and we’ve done the leg work to sort it all out for you.
Anthony Quinn Bay
By far the most beautiful of the beaches on Rhodes, Anthony Quinn Bay is stunning from every angle. Perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or snorkeling (the water is very shallow and crystal clear), it’s a great beach to spend the afternoon.
Lindos Beach
If you have the time (and the energy) walk (more of a hike, fyi) to the top of the hill and tour the ruins. You’ll be rewarded with views of a circular bay on the other side. We missed out on this because we had our then 14-month old daughter with us and a hike wasn’t on her agenda, but luckily Lindos Beach is beautiful as well. Surrounded by whitewashed homes and restaurants, there are loungers all over the sand, beach tenders serving drinks, and lots of good food to be found just steps from the sea.
Tsambika Beach
Tsambika Beach is best enjoyed just before sunset, unless you love droves of tourists. We went at the end of the day, just before dinner when the crowds at dispersed and the inflatable water sports were closed. It was quiet and beautiful and we could not get over the rocky, moon-like terrain that jutted up from the sand.
