Trendy and cozy, the Marlton is a cool boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village. The neighborhood has been a magnet for artists and fashion types for over a century. In the early 1900s, when the building was the Marlton House, Jack Kerouac penned numerous works while staying there. After its buyout and renovation in 2014, the hotel has been stylishly uplifted. However, it continues to remain pleasantly affordable and a great choice if you can appreciate the character over the relatively snug accommodations.
The hotel has a great restaurant, Margeaux, along with a cocktail bar. The atmosphere and ambiance is more in line with a true neighborhood experience compared to any hotel you’ll find in Times Square. To top it off, you’re also steps away from the West Village and Soho. Conde Nast Traveler named the Marlton one of “The World’s Greatest Hotels” in 2014 – we think it deserves the props.
