New York is chock full of delis, but none are as good as Katz’s Delicatessen. The iconic deli has been in the same location, off Ludlow Street on the Lower East Side, since 1888. Owners have changed and the space has been updated through the years, but one thing has remained the same: the quality of their product. That’s the reason celebrities, chefs, and even President’s have eaten there  It’s why movies have been filmed there, and why locals keep coming back year after year.

Seriously, you haven’t had a pastrami sandwich until you’ve had Katz’s pastrami sandwich. To eat it, though, you’ll also need to find a way to unhinge your jaw. It’s huge. All their sandwiches, in fact, are huge. And don’t even think about customizing your order. The pastrami comes on rye… so you eat it on rye. No questions. You walk in, take your ticket, order, sit, eat… boom. No need to play nice when you’re the shiz-nit. They’re doing you a favor.

We can’t guarantee you’ll have the same exact experience Meg Ryan did, but we promise you’ll want to have what she’s having. It’s orgasmic.
