1. The Mission
The Mission has remained one of the best restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale for years now. The cozy, dimly lit eatery off of Brown Avenue serves upscale, modern Latin cuisine and craft cocktails. On a chilly desert night, grab a table by the fireplace on the front terrance and feast on savory empanadas, tacos with hand-pressed corn tortillas, and their famous Green Chili Duck Confit with Oaxaca cheese and serrano peanut mole sauce.
2. Farm & Craft
Serving organic, healthy eats, this open-air eatery in Scottsdale is certainly one of our faves. From the very Instagramable palm leaf wallpaper and sunshine-yellow chairs to the healthy dishes and kombucha on-tap, you can’t go wrong planning a tasty lunch at Farm & Craft.
3. Proof
Proof, out at the Four Seasons Scottsdale at North Troon, serves some of the tastiest cuisine we’ve had at a hotel in awhile! Good news, the casual Southwestern-style eatery is open for all three meals of the day, but we like it best for lunch. Sit outside on terrace and indulge in flavorful favorites like Smoked Babe on a Bun with 5-hour slow cooked pork on a pretzel bun, Chicken & Waffles with cayenne butter and bourbon maple syrup, or their surprisingly exceptional Lobster Roll. Afterwards, you can hike off the calories on the Pinnacle Peak just down the road… or just stay and have another margarita!
4. Barrio Queen
Sure, it’s ‘just a chain’… but it’s an oh-so-good chain! Known for their tasty tacos, great cocktails, and funky Dia de los Muertos decor, you’re guaranteed to enjoy a visit to this lively, Mexican street food-inspired cantina. There are multiple locations to choose from around town, including one in downtown Scottsdale, as well as the North Scottsdale / Desert View area. Don’t forget to order a side of elóte!
5. The Henry
A popular spot for foodies, James Beard awarded restauranteur Sam Fox is behind Scottsdale’s trendy restaurant, The Henry. The dimly lit space has cool, industrial vibe and is probably best for a fun dinner with friends or date night. Enjoy tasty, inventive favorites like the short rib pot stickers or white truffle parmesan fries.
6. Diego Pops
Known for their Brussels sprout nachos and killer happy hour, Diego Pops is a fun, delicious place to go for a casual lunch or dinner in Scottsdale. The guacamole is spot-on, the Mexican Street corn is topped with flaming hot Cheeto dust, and the tacos are creative and scrumptious (get the fried cod taco!). Wash it down with a prickly pear margarita and you’re all set!
