The Conrad is one of our go-to recommendations. The size of the rooms at this Hilton hotel will make any New Yorker jealous. The tiniest rooms are still over 400 square feet, almost twice as big as our friend Tom’s studio (Hi, Tom). But the best part is, all that space won’t break the bank either. Rates start at just $239 a night, which means you’ll have extra dough for all of the great food around town. Speaking of, if jetlag has you down and you just can’t bear the hustle and bustle of the New York City streets, head downstairs to Atrio wine bar or the North End Grill next door for a good dinner and nice selection of vino.
Our favorite part of the Conrad? The Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar, where you’ll get some beautiful views of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty – all while sipping a glass of on-tap prosecco, cheerfully accompanied by a popsicle. Open April through October, you might find us perched on one of the couches, getting as close to the sunshine as we can.
