Tucked along a quite street in the ultra charming Notting Hill, The Laslett is one of the poshest hotels in London. The boutique property is made up of five adjoining Victorian townhouses and the result is magical.
Walking into The Laslett feels like arriving at a friend’s home – a friend who is charmingly British and has exceptionally good taste. The ground floor includes a lovely sitting area, a highly curated English library, and the Henderson Bar. Any of these spaces serve as the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of tea or a cocktail after a day exploring the city.
Morning, noon, and night, the Henderson Bar is buzzing with both hotel guests and locals who’ve popped in for a bite or drink. Equal parts trendy and inviting, the Henderson Bar serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, and it’s one of the coolest places to see and be seen in Notting Hill.
When the London sun is shining, the light pours in from the floor-to-ceiling windows in each of the guest rooms. The Laslett’s design-froward rooms are some of the most spacious you’ll find in all of the city, by far. During our visit, we were fortunate enough to stay in a Master Bedroom Double, where a huge king bed greeted us each night, along with a sitting area, grand armoire, and huge bathroom with soaking tub.
Just steps from the Notting Hill Gate tube station, you won’t find a better situated hotel in London’s most sought after neighborhood. The proximity to amazing restaurants, pubs, bakeries, and boutiques is unbeatable. And at the end of a day around town, you’ll fall in love with the familiar black and white checkered walkway leading you back into your home away from home at The Lastlett.
