The Viceroy is one of the more new and nice additions to the Midtown hotel scene in recent years. With a prime location on 57th street near Central Park and 5th Avenue, it’s an ideal location for both personal vacations and business stays.
Simply because of the age of many buildings in the area, even the fancy establishments can sometimes have a musty or worn reality to them. The Viceroy feels fresh and clean, reflecting the thoughtful and thorough renovation. The rooms are sleek in design and have the latest in technology and comfort – including a Beats by Dr. Dre sounds system and the always-luxurious Sferra bed linens.
The Viceroy name generally catches our ear, but we found this new Manhattan outpost particularly pleasing and affordable relative to its peers in the area. The restaurant, Kingside, is a great place to grab a bite, and the hotel rooftop bar has unbeatable views. Just down the street is the famous Russian Tea room and, hidden in the Parker Meridian next-door, is the famous Burger Joint.
If you’ve been staying at the same nondescript Midtown hotel for years, consider switching it up for a stay at The Viceroy. You won’t be disappointed, we promise.
