Arriving at the Four Seasons Resort Maui, after a long haul flight from New York City, we were ready to collapse. Exhausted and jet lagged, we arrived just in time for dinner and the live music coming from the Lobby Lounge, along with the fragrant lei placed around our neck, lured us to a table for some nibbles before we crashed.
It was just what we needed to get into the island spirit. Waking the next day, totally refreshed, we headed down for breakfast where we enjoyed the first of many açaí bowls.
Before we head to the pool, a quick property tour was in order. The Four Seasons Maui is a sprawling, beautifully landscaped property. Pathways wind through delicious smelling plumeria, providing gorgeous views of Wailea Beach, the adults only infinity pool is an idyllic retreat if you’re traveling sans little ones, and you have 5 dining options at your disposal, including Spago by Wolfgang Puck.
If you’re hoping to explore the island, let the hotel help you. They’ll put together a customized itinerary that will meet your every need. Of course, if you’re more into the relaxation side of things, we suggest you opt for a massage in one of the beachfront huts to really help you unwind.
No matter the type of room you choose, you’ll find luxe accommodations, pillowy-soft beds, and spacious bathrooms, plus every amenity you’ve come to expect and enjoy when visiting a Four Seasons property. In this case, we highly recommend booking an ocean view room because these views truly never get old.
At the end of each day, you’ll be delighted as the sky burns and fades into sherbet colors, the pinks and oranges reflecting onto the sand and waves below. Just as there is something special about a Hawaiian sunset, your stay at the Four Seasons Resort Maui will be nothing short of wonderful.
