You can’t think of New York City without remembering the terrible and tragic events of September 11, 2001. Thankfully, we now have a place to go to remember and reflect on that awful day. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is truly a beautiful and solemn experience. It will give any visitor pause. The two reflecting pools of the memorial park were built on the footprints of the former World Trade Towers. The names of all those lost are etched in stone around reflecting pool. The memorial park area is free and opened to the public. The museum requires a ticket to gain entry. If you have a few hours to spend downtown, we highly recommend experiencing this memorial and museum.
