If you’re a fan of Anthony Bourdain, you’ve likely heard of this restaurant because it’s where he got his start. But if you think it’s only famous because of him, you’re wrong! The food at both locations, uptown on Park Avenue and downtown in the Financial District, is homey French food at its best. At brunch, the croque monsieur is quite possibly the best in town. The Moules et Frites are a great choice any time of day and the incredible Steak Tartare is mixed table-side just the way you like it. And everything is always served with a healthy portion of drool-worthy fries.
GET THE: The Portugues Mussels, Steak Tartare, Roasted Croutons with Brie and Honey, French Onion Soup, The Burger, and Croque Monsieur, the French Fries.
