Part winery, part music venue, this NYC establishment is adored by locals and still relatively unknown to visitors. Located in SoHo, it’s a great place for a chill, enjoyable evening any night of the week. Tables are scattered around the huge room, where the stage takes the focus and there’s not a bad seat in the house. The entertainment ranges from musicians of all genres to burlesque performances, comedians, and even something called a “One Man Star Wars Trilogy”. World-class names like Mason Jennings and Marc Cohn often grace the City Winery Stage.
Have we mentioned yet that City Winery makes their own vino? The two-brother-business actually started as a wine-making venture and exploded into a wine and culture smash up. They make their wines in house and will let you wander into their Barrel Room for a tasting. All their house wines are usually flowing on tap. For further satisfaction, City Winery has tailored their menu to pair effortlessly with their selections – so sit back, relax, have a couple glasses of vino and enjoy the show.
