Why do hot dogs always taste the best at a baseball game? Yankees stadium has the best ball park dogs in the country… and some pretty good baseball too.

The Yankees baseball franchise has been around since 1901, but the team’s new home field was just opened in 2009. It replaced the old stadium which sits just a few blocks away and is now a public park. The new digs cost $2.3 billion – yes, billion dollars – and took several years to build. You can imagine how much dough went into all the details, and as a fan you’ll appreciate it. When you enter, you’re faced with larger-than-life banners of past Yankee superstars hanging from sky-high ceilings. The field is beautiful and surrounded by 4,300 club seats and 68 luxury boxes, and there’s some great (and improved) food and drink choices to be had. If you’re traveling from the city, you don’t need to worry about finding a D.D. because the train will take you from NYC right to the stadium. Go early because the bars and buzzing atmosphere surrounding the stadium make the experience complete.

Interesting fact: the stadium is also home to NYC FC, the City’s new Major League Soccer team. They also hold non-sporting events there as well, including concerts for the big-wigs like Justin Timberlake, Jay Z and Madonna.
